Kenzell Huggins is a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago’s Department of Anthropology. His academic interests lie between cultural and linguistic anthropology. His dissertation work examines screened media production in Singapore from the theoretical lens of animation.Kenzell’s interest in the production of media grew from having the opportunity to act as a copy-editor for a book published as a part of a school project. Through this experience he gained an appreciation for to the multiple layers of labor that goes into producing any given end product. He enjoys being a support for the work of others and hopes to create a generative environment within Aruna.
