Neda (she/her) is a PhD student in Geography at University of Colorado Boulder. She was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and her engagement with feminist activism in Iran shaped her interest in feminist studies.

For her dissertation, she explores how subjects engaged in cosmetic surgeries in major cities and rural areas in Iran make their decision to involve in surgeries at the intersection of economy, politics, and culture with a feminist political geography lens. When she is not working on her dissertation, she bakes with her preschooler son, runs, and reads about pedagogy in the context of the US and the Global South.
